wagamama team up with Guide Dogs in Manchester
There are 2 million people living with sight loss in the UK: a figure that could be 4 million by 2050. Every hour, another person in the UK goes blind. When someone loses their sight, the charity Guide Dogs is there to make sure they don’t lose their freedom as well. Guide Dogs and wagamama have announced an exclusive Dine in the Dark experience in Spinningfields, Manchester on 30th January.
Diners will be ‘left in the dark’ as they tuck into a new challenge at the Spinningfields restaurant. Customers will enjoy a three course meal with a twist, as they’ll be blindfolded for every course.
Featuring the new wagamama menu, the event will be from 6:30pm on Tuesday 30th January, with all proceeds from the event to be donated to Guide Dogs.
Tickets are in limited supply, starting at £10 for children and £20 for an adult; and can be purchased by contacting Guide Dogs Manchester on 01189 838 715. Their last event, held at the St Peter’s Street restaurant in October, raised over £1,000 for the charity. Facebook Event
Siobhan Cullen, Community Fundraising Development Officer at Guide Dogs, said: “The response from our Dining in the Dark held in October was overwhelming. It’s a brilliant way to get people thinking a little differently about sight loss. We’re lucky to have such a great partner in wagamama who want to do as much as possible to help raise funds and awareness for Guide Dogs”.
